Acquisition Of Two Container Vessels

The Board of Directors of Samudera Shipping Line Ltd (“the Company”) is pleased to announce that the Company has entered into contracts for the acquisition of two (2) container vessels (“the Vessels”) with a total acquisition price of approximately USD 83,000,000.

The Vessels with a capacity of 1,740 Teus (twenty-foot equivalent units) each, will be constructed/ built by Guangzhou Wenchong, China. They are expected to be delivered in fourth quarter of 2008.

These transactions are not expected to have any material financial impact to the Group for the current year ending 31 December 2007.

None of the directors or controlling shareholders of the Company has any interest, direct or indirect, in the above transactions.
