Pak Soedarpo Sastrosatomo, Chairman
of Indonesia's Samudera Group and a member of PSA's
International Advisory Council, has joined the Asian
Maritime Hall of Fame. The announcement was made at
the presentation ceremony of the Maritime Asia Awards
2000.

Pak Soedarpo received a standing ovation when his name
was announced at the ceremony, witnessed by some 500 top
executives from the international shipping industry.

Pak Soedarpo is the founder of the highly successful Samudera
Group, which includes the Singapore-listed feeder operator,
Samudera Shipping Line. He founded the company in the
early 1960s during a period of tremendous change for Indonesia,
and guided the operations of the company as it expanded
into agency and terminal activities, cargo forwarding,
warehousing and land transportation.
PSA extends its heartiest congratulations to Pak Soedarpo
on his achievement.
